Dear UWAHC Family,

It is with heavy hearts, but warm memories, that the Nobbs family and UWA Hockey Club invite you to join us in celebrating the life and extraordinary legacy of Michael Nobbs - a proud UWA Hockey Club member, Kookaburra #252, and a highly respected figure across hockey worldwide.

Michael passed away on 29 January 2026 at the age of 72. His connection to UWA ran deep, and the mark he left on UWAHC and hockey in Australia - and on everyone who had the privilege of playing or training alongside him - is one that will not fade.

We warmly invite all current and past members, friends, and the broader hockey community to come together and honour Michael's life:

Date: Saturday March 21^st 2026

Venue: UWA Hockey Club

Time: 2pm

This will be a day to share stories, raise a glass, and remember the man who gave so much to this club and to hockey as a whole. All are welcome - whether you played alongside Michael, were coached by him, or simply knew him as a familiar face at the club.
