Weekend Wrap!

Two big wins for our Premier league sides.

The Premier Women played WASPS and had a convincing win against the WASPS outfit four goals to one.

Our star Hockeyroo, Courtney Schonell scored a double and singles went to Shayni Nelson and Jess Butterworth.

The women currently sit in third position, with 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss for the season so far.

Coach Tivo praised the team's effort after a few weeks off as Covid-19 ripped through the team forcing a few re-scheduled matches.

The Premier League Men, under the new leadership of Paul Gaudoin, are starting to warm up and play some great hockey.

The Men played YMCC at Shenton last Saturday and won convincingly 6-0. Goals to TJ Wickham, Flynn Ogilvie, Chris Bausor, Jacob Evans, Cam Geddes and Lachy Busiko. Coach Goodas said "it was a pleasing result for the team and a encourgaing after the past few weekends. The team have come up against the three current international Goal Keepers, so its been no easy task getting winning reults. The team have been playing some great hockey, however just falling short at both ends of the circle.  We've been working hard each week to improve that part of the game, so getting the win over a solid YMCC team was good reward for their hard work over the past few weeks."

Lets hope both teams continue on their merry way this weekend.
