University Associates (Men) Hockey Club traces its history back to 1950 when it was formed to allow male UWA graduates to continue playing hockey for a University Associated Club. (Guild regulations at that time prevented graduates from playing for a university side).
Our club ethos is to have fun playing competitive hockey and to support and contribute to the Senior and Junior club through coaching, financial donations, and sponsorship. Most of our players were UWA Senior club members when younger and many have children playing at the club in juniors or seniors.
We field teams in the Senior and Masters grades. We consider ourselves one branch of the UWA Hockey Club family.
Welcome to the 2024 season to all previous Soaks and a special welcome to new members including the "Mighty 10s" who have transferred from the Uni Senior club.
Fees for 2024 have increased by a small margin.
Registration fees are $440 for grass and $505 for turf.
This includes the Hockey Australia $57.31 fee/player/annum-which also includes your player insurance levy.
Please note Midweek Masters players: Please register under the Social Players category.
- Life members of the UWA Hockey Club will not be required to pay club fees but will be required to pay the Hockey Australia fee of $57.31
- Goalkeepers providing their own kit will receive a discount on their fees and will only be required to pay $220.
- Social/Fill-in players will be asked to register before their first game (for insurance purposes) and to pay the Hockey Australia fee of $57.31. If you play more than a few games, later in the season you can pay a percentage of the full fees (as determined by team captain and treasurer).

Payment of fees
All fees must be paid at registration via the Revolutionise Sport registration process. This is by debit card or credit card.
All members must pay their fees prior to the commencement of the first game. HWA have advised they will be able to track no registered players this year and you will forfeit your game if you play with an unregistered player.
